Solidity shower trays are truly bespoke which means we can follow curved walls, make curved sections or fit to curved screens and enclosures.
We can also supply matching (or contrasting!) wall panels and source glass screens for a complete shower space.
Tale of Woe
This customer's original Corian floor was not supplied by us and had failed due to excessive use of mdf underneath the floor. The floor had cracked so was allowing water to leak through. This water blew the mdf underneath which then blew the floor apart - the fascias popped off and the tray broke.
We removed the old floor and templated for a Solidity replacement. As we tidied up, the bottom of a Corian Everest wall panel popped and dropped. It had only been stuck to the wall with a few blobs of silicone. Now the only thing holding the panel to the wall was the shower valve and a couple of screws. We propped it, made it secure for plumbers to remove and make safe the valves.
We made a new floor and upstand (around the back of the tray) and used plywood (better suited to water) on the platform and subframe. We modified the original Everest wall panel and then jointed and blended it into the upstand. The final job was to seal the floor and wall junctions with silicone. The customer had a new shower area, guaranteed for 15 years not to leak!
