Kitchen Worktops
Corian, HI-MACS and Krion are ideal for countertops (and other surfacing applications) as they look beautiful and are also extremely durable and practical.
There is a wide range of colours and styles to chose from and because these Solid Surfaces are non-porous, they are easy to clean and if damaged can normally be repaired. They also come with a minimum 10 year warranty.
We can make huge worktop runs without joints and seamlessly incorporate sinks, upstands, splashbacks and worktop ends that drop to the floor.
Front Edge Details and Profiles
Normal worktop thickness is 38mm – 12mm Solid Surface material wrapped around a moisture resistant mdf subframe. However, we can make the worktop appear any thickness you require and with the edge detail of your choice. The most common examples are shown here.
The waterfall edge profile is particularly practical when used along the front edge of sinks as it will stop water splashes running down into the cabinets below.
It is possible to use only the 12mm Corian, Hi-MACS or Krion for your worktop but special care is needed to make sure the hob will fit into the carcasses below and that the worktops are well supported over appliances.
